With 2013 around the corner, this year's last major cultural event has opened its doors in Beijing. Gathering various media elites, it's a market showcasing the best new domestic and international media products up for offer.

Intriguing episodes on preview and dazzling posters, this place feels like a carnival. It's the 10th China International Film and TV Programs Exhibition.

You can find this year's most exciting TV hits on display, while new programs search for possible buyers, eager to become 2013's next big thing.

Almost all genres are included, there's a taste for every palate.

Cheng Chunli, deputy general manager of China Radio, Film & TV Programs Exhibition Center, said, "Nowadays, the producers are much more rational. In the past, they would swarm to the most popular genre. But now they analyze market demand and focus on quality."

Hosted by the State Administration of Radio, Film and TV, the exhibition is the largest of its kind in all of Asia. It offers a platform for ideas to be exchanged and transactions made.

The most attractive programs here will surely inspire next year's popular productions.

Noiseless trade is encouraged to create a better environment. Loudspeakers, for example, are forbidden. And program volumes must not reach over 70 decibels.

The trade sum of last year's exhibition reached 3 billion yuan. That record is likely to be broken this year, with more than 1,300 exhibitors attending.

Zhou Li, president of Jiangsu Broadcasting Corp., said, "People from 57 countries and regions have come here to reach a deal with us. There are more than one hundred people in my group. They are now busy with program transactions."

The exhibition will last until December 30th.
