The elegant moves of ballet are not just for young artists anymore. Here in the capital, a group of senior citizens have teamed up to practice ballet for over 3 years. They are also set to perform at the National Centre for the Performing Arts.

Despite being in their 50s and 60, they can still manage to tiptoe. The amateur ballerinas teamed up back in 2009 have practiced regularly. The group now consists of 20 members.

Most of them are over 60 years old, but their energy and discipline has touched the hearts of many. The group has performed for residents all across Beijing.

Last year during the Spring Festival holiday, they made it to the grand stage at the National Centre for the Performing Arts. This year they have been invited again and are busy preparing.
