In Europe, a taste of Chinese classical music is hitting Madrid! An o from East China's Zhejiang province has presented a concert to the Spanish people in Madrid, to mark the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Spain.
Classic pieces from both China and the West were staged, including the Chinese piece "The Moon Reflected in Er-Quan", and Beethoven's most performed work "Symphony No. 7." Audiences were entertained throughout the 2 hour musical feast.
The conductor for the concert is Tang Muhai, a renowned Chinese musician. The concert serves as a prelude to the 40th anniversary celebration, co-hosted by China and Spain. And more cultural events are to come in the course of 2013.
