Here in Huizhou in South China's Guangdong Province, people are flooding stores to stock up on decorations for Spring Festival.

Spring Festival couplets, lanterns, and Chinese knots...you'll find all these traditional ornaments.

As 2013 is the year of the Snake, decorations featuring snake designs are especially popular.

Vendor said, "Snake designs are very popular. Customers just like them."

Compared with regular snake designs on paper, these stuffed snakes are even more eye catching.

Customer said, "This is so cute. I like it!"

Although the Spring Festival is still more than a week away, locals in Ningbo in East China's Zhejiang Province have already started grocery shopping for the lunar New Year's Eve dinner.

All kinds of meat, seafood, and of course vegetables. A dinner fit for a king.
