Every year around this time, China sends art delegations to other parts of the world to spread the festive atmosphere wherever they go. This year is no exception. Chinese soprano Song Zuying headlined a show in the US on Tuesday night.
At the art show "Cultures of China, Festival of Spring", renowned Chinese soprano Song Zuying belted out her signature songs, "Spicy Girl", "Love My China" and "Good Days". She also sang duets with pop singer Sha Baoliang and a Tibetan folk singer from Sichuan.
She was accompanied by the American Symphony Orchestra, making it a case of "East Meets West".
Another Spring Festival celebration art show was held in Auckland, New Zealand's biggest city. Chinese artists performed to a packed house in the Bruce Mason Center. Dance with Chinese characteristics was featured heavily in the program, while pop singer Cai Guoqing was among the stars on stage.
Since 2009, the show series "Cultures of China, Festival of Spring" has graced the stage of 21 countries with 139 performances. It has brought the culture of "Chinese Spring Festival", and the unique festive atmosphere of it to all the countries they performed in.
