China Fashion Week set to begin in Beijing

China Fashion Week is set to open in the capital Beijing. In the week ahead, fashion designers from home and abroad will bring their latest collections to the runway at various venues in Beijing.

Beijing is all set to dazzle again. A fashion extravaganza is around the corner and preparations are underway.

Italian designer Gabriele Colangelo is no stranger to them. Having designed for several big brands, he will be presenting the latest collection from his own brand.

Colangelo is among the 22 domestic and overseas designers who will bring their freshest collections to the Fashion Week. 36 fashion brands and institutes will be in attendance at the more than 40 events to be held in various locations around the capital.

China Fashion Week was established in 1997. It is held twice a year in Beijing. The Autumn/Winter collections in March and Spring/Summer collections in October. The event consists of fashion shows, professional contests, fashion forums and more.

15 years since its inception, China Fashion Week has become not only a top rated platform for fashion designers in China, but also a not to be missed event in the world fashion calendar.

This year's event runs until March 30.
