An exhibition, themed ARTchitecture, will be held between October 27 and November 8, 2013 at the Today Art Museum in Beijing.

What is ARTchitecture? It can be considered as every other form of art that's none-related to architecture. How many things are not related to architecture in real life? NONE! Form, Color, Texture… all these elements that we interpreted as "architecture" exist almost everywhere around us.

No other form of art has such a lasting and constant effect on the human spirit as architecture. It is way beyond "function" and "construction. It has evolved as a progress of living, an individual form of existence.

To that extend, all the projects in this particular exhibition are proof of existence by those architects who designed them. The projects not only reflect the way architects work and think during design process, but more importantly they revealed a mysterious "other side" of their lives. Apart from designing "houses", architects can also make elegant and practical artworks.

These projects provide opportunities for the public to understand how architects carry on the tradition of "making" and "craftsmanship", as well as recognizing the multi-disciplined ability an architect could provide. It may be none-architectural design we exhibit here, nevertheless the essence and spirit of art and architecture are never far apart. They mingle with our everyday life.
