German band DIE STERNE to rock Beijing

German rocks! The Goethe-Institut China invites you to a free indie rock concert to enjoy the German band "Die Sterne" at Yugongyishan in Beijing on Sunday, June 8, 2014.

The Band is one of the most important representatives of the so-called "Hamburger Schule", which indicates a movement that combines smart lyrics with elements from punk to experimental pop. So don't forget your dancing shoes for that night and get ready to move to their own special mixture of indie-rock, groove and funk.

"Die Sterne" are Frank Spilker (vocals and guitar), Thomas Wenzel (bass and vocals), and Christoph Leich (drums). Their newest studio album was produced by Olaf Opal (The Notwist) and will be released in August later this year.
