按照深圳市海吉星批发市场的西红柿批发价来计算,近日西红柿价格约为4.2元/公斤,此次世界之窗每天消耗的1500斤西红柿需要花费3150元.

The wholesale price of tomatoes at a local market is about 4.2 yuan ($1.67) per kilogram, which means the food fight cost 3,150 yuan ($503.2) per day.

有网友友谴责此举是"暴殄天物"的反人文活动. 网友"魔与道"评论道："农民不容易,而且中国还有很多为了省钱不吃菜的人."

The majority of netizens who commented said it was a wasteful activity. One said that "it is not easy for farmers to harvest food, and in China there are still many who save money by eating vegetables."
