Society warmly supports PLA and APF

With the Chinese traditional Spring Festival is approaching, local governments and various organizations all around the country convey warm greetings to servicemen of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) in various ways, and the troop units further promote the work of "supporting the army and giving preferential treatment to the families of revolutionary soldiers and martyrs; supporting the government and cherishing the people".

An upsurge of "double support" activities is running nationwide.

Governments at all levels and the masses support army building and extend regards to servicemen of the PLA in various ways. The visiting delegation of the Ministry of Civil Affairs of the People's Republic of China (PRC) visited the four general headquarters/departments of the PLA, various services and arms and the Chinese People's Armed Police Force (APF) in succession, extending regards and spring-festival wishes to officers and men.

In the "double-support model city" Haimen of east China's Jiangsu Province, consolation money and gifts were delivered to recruits' families with financial difficulty so that recruits do not have to worry about their families.

Festival army-supporting delegation organized by the Gezhouba Neighborhood Committee visited the Yichang base of the APF No.1 water and electricity contingent and delivered consolation gifts such as rice, eggs and fruits.

Bazhong City of southwest China's Sichuan Province timely adjusted the resettlement and subsidies policies of retired soldiers, held vocational trainings and job fairs, improve their work ability, and effectively promoted the resettlement work of retired soldiers.
