Military undertakes projects of national publishing fund

The compiling work meeting of the Chinese Medical Academician Library and the Classic Operations of Famous Chinese Modern Doctors, which are both the national key publishing projects of the 12th Five-Year Plan period and national publishing fund projects, was held in Beijing on February 7, 2012, marking that the Chinese military's undertaking of the national publishing fund projects is in full swing. Han Qide, honorary director and member of the projects' editorial board and vice chairman of the National People's Congress Standing Committee of the People's Republic of China, attended and addressed the meeting.

The Chinese Medical Academician Library consists of 100 books. The Classic Operations of Famous Chinese Modern Doctors is mainly composed of operation videos and its first-stage project consists of 500 operation videos, including some important clinical operations.

These projects organized and implemented by the People's Military Medical Press are the national publishing fund projects undertaken by the PLA for the first time. The meeting was attended by leaders from China's Ministry of Health and the Health Department under the General Logistics Department of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA)， some academicians in Beijing, and leaders and experts from the Chinese Medical Association and relevant branches of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association.
