The officers and men of the Chinese and Thai marine corps who completed the "Blue Assault 2012" China-Thailand Marine Corps Joint Training returned to the barracks of a marine brigade under the Navy of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) and held discussion and exchange on the morning of May 28, 2012.
The guiding groups and the participating officers and men of both Chinese and Thai sides carried out extensive and in-depth discussion centering on such special topics as the construction and development trends of the marine corps of various countries, the execution of the anti-terrorism and stability-maintaining operation and the achievement and experience harvested from this joint training among others. The commanders of the participating detachments of both sides also answered a number of questions of common concern shared among the officers and men.
Hu Dehai, commander of the Chinese side of the joint training, expressed that the discussion and exchange activity had further consolidated the results of the joint training, drawn lessons from useful experience and promoted mutual trust, which are quite helpful in elevating the marine corps' capability in performing diversified military tasks.
It is learned that the Thai marine corps officers and men who had participated in this joint training boarded a special plane and returned home on May 29, 2012.
