The People's Liberation Army (PLA) on Friday issued regulations to prevent and control radioactive pollution.
Chinese President Hu Jintao, also chairman of the Central Military Commission, signed a decree to publish the rules, which take effect on July 1.
Based on the country's Law on the Prevention and Control of Radioactive Pollution, the regulation specifies responsibilities, requirements and methods concerning the management of radioactive pollutants in the military.
