PLA Navy 'Zheng He' ship leaves for Spain

After wrapping up its 4-day-long friendly visit to Taranto, Italy, the "Zheng He" oceangoing training ship of the Navy of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) left the Taranto military port at 10:00 on the morning of June 4, 2012, local time, and headed for Cadiz, Spain, the next stop of its visit.

As scheduled, the "Zheng He" ship conducted a joint drill with the Italian Navy's "Toria" guided missile destroyer in the northern waters of the Ionian Sea from 11:20 to 12:40 on the morning of June 4, 2012, local time. The ship formation movement and radio communication are the main subjects of the drill.
