Chinese naval ship formation to visit Israel

After wrapping up its friendly visit to Turkey on August 9, 2012, the visiting ship formation consisting of the "Qingdao" guided-missile destroyer and the "Weishan Lake" comprehensive supply ship of the 11th Chinese naval escort taskforce of the Navy of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) headed for Israel.

It is learned that after wrapping up its visit to Bulgaria, the "Yantai" frigate will join the "Qingdao" guided-missile destroyer and the "Weishan Lake" comprehensive supply ship in the Mediterranean Sea to form a visiting naval ship formation for an official friendly visit to Israel. This will be the first time for the Chinese naval ships to visit Israel.
