An Equipment Verification Team of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) totaling 14 persons came to the barracks of the 10th Chinese peacekeeping engineer battalion to Lebanon to verify the equipment and facilities of the peacekeeping battalion one by one on August 15, 2012.

"Is there any toilet soap or other cleaning utensils for mine clearers in the vehicle?" asked Henry, chief of the verification team, after getting into an armoured vehicle.

"We have not only prepared toilet soap, but also specially brought anti-mosquito toilet water and essential balm from China," said Wan Junxin, commander of the support company who accompanied Henry on the verification, pointing at an iron box under a seat in the armoured vehicle.

To ensure sufficient physical stamina of mine cleaners in operation of high-risk tasks, the UNIFIL requires the battalion to provide them with top-notch living facilities as far as possible, so that they can get high-quality rest during work breaks.

Afterwards, the verification team verified mine detectors, protective clothing and Internet cafés.

At 16:00, the battalion passed the verification of the last item, wrapping up the equipment verification task once again.
