Croatian naval chorus to visit China

The acappella band "Sveti Juraj" of the Croatian Navy will visit China at invitation from August 24 to 30, 2012. During its stay in China, the "Sveti Juraj" will give performances and carry out exchange activities in Shanghai and Beijing.

The "Sveti. Juraj" of the Croatian Navy is the most popular male choir in Croatia. Before coming to China, the choir had ever paid visits to countries including Italy, Germany, Poland, Belgium, Hungary, France, Austria, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Montenegro, successfully held many concerts in foreign countries. Moreover, it has published 10 concert albums.

During their visit to Shanghai on August 25, the choir will visit Chinese naval warships, give performances and hold talks with the Chinese naval soldiers on the warships. It is also scheduled to stage a performance on the very evening for the PLA troops stationed in Shanghai.

After wrapping up its visit to Shanghai, the choir will head for Beijing to visit the Song and Dance Troupe under the PLA General Political Department for professional exchanges with the PLA artists. The members of the choir will also stage a special performance for the officers and men of the PLA troop units stationed in Beijing.
