Newsmakers in national defense force building unveiled

Jointly hosted by the Reserve Force Construction and Publicity Department of the PLA Daily, the China National Defense Newspaper and the China Militia Magazine, the selection of the 2012 newsmakers in national defense reserve force building was recently announced.

It is the 25th selection of newsmakers in national defense reserve force building, during which ten newsmakers and ten newsmaker honorary award winners were elected.

The newsmakers elected this year are advanced representatives who have come to the fore in the building of national defense reserve force in recent years. They hold concurrent leading posts in military sub-commands, people's armed forces departments, reserve force units and local national defense mobilization committees. They have made outstanding contributions to promoting the scientific development of the national defense reserve force building as evidenced by adhering to the principle of coordinated development of national defense and economic construction, striving to solve the practical problems arising from the building of national defense reserve force under the new situations and putting more efforts into promoting unity between the army and the government and between the army and the people in the building of national defense reserve force.
