National PhD students forum on military science held

The National PhD Students Forum on Military Science jointly sponsored by the Office of Academic Degree Committee of the State Council, the Department of Academic Degree Management and Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Education and the Office of the Academic Degree Committee of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) was held on September 25, 2012 in Shijiazhuang, capital city of north China's Hebei province.

With the topic of "Focusing on comprehensive combat capability building and pushing forward innovative development of military theory", the forum is divided into 7 sub-forums on war and strategy, operations and tactics, military command, military political work, military logistics and equipment, military training and military operations other than war (MOOTW).

Chen Yong, assistant to chief of general staff of the PLA, and Liang Guoxiong, deputy director of the Office of Academic Degree Committee of the State Council, attended the opening ceremony.
