Heads of Chinese, ASEAN defense universities to meet

The 16th ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) meeting of the heads of national defense universities and colleges will be held in Beijing from Nov. 4 to Nov. 8.

Chinese Defense Ministry spokesman Yang Yujun said Thursday that the meeting, with the theme of the education of national security strategy in a changing world, will be jointly sponsored by the University of National Defense of China and the Defense College of Brunei.

The meeting aims at strengthening communication among members of the ARF in defense and security areas, and promoting the exchange of military education between China and other countries, he said.
