The airshow in Zhuhai generates huge business opportunities for companies in the aerospace and aviation sector. China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, a state-owned company renowned for names such as Shenzhou spacecraft series and Long March rockets, has inked 30-billion yuan worth of deals with clients from China and abroad.
The deals cover communication satellites, carrier rockets, and biodiversity projects. Renatel'sat is the state communication satellite company of the Democratic Republic of Congo. The communication satellite it bought from China is the second satellite that China has exported to Africa.
Achinda Wahilungula Richard, Dir. Gen., Renatelsat, DRC, said, "Satellite cooperation…built on friendship between China and the Democratic Republic of Congo."
