The three-day-long 4th Xaingshan Forum, a bi-yearly event hosted by the China Military Sciences Society to promote exchanges of opinions among defense scholars from around the world, kicked off in Beijing, Nov. 16, 2012.
More than 60 defense studies experts from 21 nations including Russia, the United States, France, Germany, Japan and China attended the forum.
The theme of the forum is "Asia-Pacific Security: New Issues and New Ideas".
