PLA Daily comments: No hurt of feelings without drinking

With the approaching of the two holidays, namely the New Year holiday and Chinese Spring Festival holiday, it is a test of the working style improvement for leaders at various levels to restrain from drinking when visiting grassroots troop units.

In the traditional concept, drinking is inseparable from expressing affection. As a result, the amount of liquor drunk by a person is a measurement of his affection. However, people will only damage their images and health after getting drunk, with affection enhancement rarely seen.

Since the promulgation of 10 regulations for strengthening self-working-style-building by the Central Military Commission (CMC), various military organizations have issued orders of drinking prohibition. Leaders take the lead to restrain from drinking when visiting grassroots troop units, making everyone feel relieved. Instead of hurting feelings, the drinking-free working style and good spiritual state are maintained, wining endorsement and support from the officers and men.
