Pentagon issues annual report on China's military devt

The US Department of Defense has released its annual report on China's military development. It says China is accelerating its military modernization, and claims the Chinese government and military to be behind hacker attacks on the US government.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying denied the allegations during a regular press conference. She says the US's annual report is an action of finger-pointing at China's legitimate military capacity building, and is also a way to hype the supposed "China threat".

Hua adds that the report will only serve to harm mutual trust and cooperation between the two countries. Meanwhile, she said China opposes hacker attacks of any form and is willing to conduct dialogue with the US over Internet security.
