Chinese and Russian naval forces have concluded their seven-day "Joint Sea-2013" drills in Vladivostok, Russia.
The two nations conducted a series of joint military manoeuvres, and communicated with each other on deepening cooperation between their naval forces. The Chinese commander of the joint drill, Duan Zhaoxian, said China and Russia could conduct future exercises in other parts of the ocean.
He said these exercises are helpful to safeguard the two countries' interests at sea. The Russian commander of the joint drill Leonid Sukhanov said that such cooperation is necessary to keep regional stability and also safeguard China and Russia's national interests.
