Chinese, Yemeni defense ministers hold talks

Chinese Defense Minister Chang Wanquan and Yemeni Defense Minister Mohammed Nasser Ahmed held talks on Monday to promote bilateral cooperation.

Chang, also a state councilor, told the guest that China cherishes friendship with Yemen and will consolidate and deepen exchanges and cooperation between the two countries and armed forces so as to benefit the two peoples.

Relations between China and Yemen have developed smoothly through mutual respect and equality, he said, noting that the two armed forces conducted pragmatic cooperation in various fields.

Yemen highly appreciates China's sincere assistance and is delighted with China's development and prosperity, the visiting minister said, stressing that Yemen is looking forward to further cooperation between the two in various spheres.
