Vice Chairman of China's Central Military Commission Fan Changlong met with Iranian Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics Hossein Dehqan in Beijing Wednesday.
Fan said China is willing to make joint efforts with Iran to strengthen political trust and deepen pragmatic cooperation to promote bilateral relations to the next level.
China attaches importance to its relationship with the Iranian military and has a positive attitude toward military-to-military relations, Fan said.
He said the friendly relationship between the two militaries serves the fundamental interests of the two peoples and the comprehensive development of bilateral ties.
This is Dehqan's first visit to China since he took office. He said the Iranian side is willing to promote the development of military-to-military ties and expects new achievements of communication and cooperation.
Dehqan arrived in Beijing Sunday at the invitation of Chinese Defense Minister Chang Wanquan, starting a four-day official visit to China.
