China will send off its 13th contingent of policemen on Friday morning for a United Nations peacekeeping mission in Liberia.

The 19-member team was organized by the public security authority of central China's Hubei Province.

After passing examinations by local and central public security authorities, the team received training on international laws, first aid, driving, English, and shooting, as well as orientations on the situation in the region.

Since 2000, China has dispatched more than 2,100 peacekeeping police to eight task regions, including Timor-Leste, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Liberia, Afghanistan, Sudan, Haiti, and South Sudan.
