Fan Changlong to visit Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia

At the invitations of David Johnston, defense minister of Australia, Jonathan Coleman, defense minister of New Zealand, and Purnomo Yusgiantoro, defense minister of Indonesia, Fan Changlong, vice chairman of China's Central Military Commission (CMC), and his party left Beijing on July 16, 2014 for an official friendly visit to the above-mentioned three countries.

The principle entourage including Wang Ning, deputy chief of general staff of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA), Liu Xiaojiang, political commissar of the PLA Navy, Xu Fenlin, commander of the PLA Guangzhou Military Area Command (MAC), Xu Anxiang, commander of air force under the PLA Guangzhou MAC and Guan Youfei, director-general of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Ministry of National Defense of the PRC left Beijing via the same plane.
