Commander of PLA Macao Garrison changed

Colonel Wen Yufa, spokesman of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Macao Garrison, announced on July 17, 2014 that according to the order issued by Xi Jinping, chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC) of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Major General Zhu Qingsheng, commander of the PLA Macao Garrison, was appointed as the director of the Armaments Department of the PLA Guangzhou Military Area Command (MAC). Senior Colonel Wang Wen will succeed him as commander of the PLA Macao Garrison.

Before leaving for his new post, Major General Zhu Qingsheng expressed his gratitude to the government and all walks of life of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) for their support and help when he worked in Macao, and he thanked the Macao compatriots' care for the PLA troops in Macao. He wished to see a prosperous and stable Macao in the future and gave his best wishes to Macao compatriots.

Senior Colonel Wang Wen, the new commander of the PLA Macao Garrison, said that he will work closely with Political Commissar Ma Biqiang to lead all officers and men to continue to abide by the principle of "one country, two systems", strictly comply with the Fundamental Law of Macao SAR and the Law of the People's Republic of China on Garrisoning the Macao SAR, diligently perform obligations to accomplish mission, support the Macao SAR government to exercise governance according to law as always, and love Macao and its people, with a view to making positive contributions to the long-term prosperity, stability and development of Macao.
