The Chinese People's Liberation Army started Saturday a live-fire drill in northeast China, the largest in scale of the year.
A total of 20,000 troops from Shenyang military command are involved in the drill, including infantry, artillery, tank and other troops from the army as well as the air force, armed police, militia and reserve forces.
The military exercise code-named "Joint Action-2014E" is the last event of its kind in this year. All the seven planned drills of the year have been conducted.
