PLA's second medical team to Sierra Leone selected

The second medical team of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) to Sierra Leone has been selected and is making all preparations in an orderly manner for the upcoming rotation, reporter learnt from the PLA 302 Hospital on October 31, 2014.

According to a leader of the hospital, the medical team is carrying out knowledge and skill training for all team members according to the plan, including prevention and control of Ebola hemorrhagic fever, common infectious diseases in West Africa, wearing of protective suit, African customs and so forth.

The medical team will also conduct adaptive training under simulated climate to adapt to the upcoming dry season in West Africa, said Chen Haoyang, head of the medical team.
