China's army has sent an aerobatics team, as well as newly-designed planes to the southern city of Zhuhai, to take part in an airshow.
The airshow falls on the same day as the founding anniversary of China's air force. A spokesperson said the new models would showcase how far the country's air force has come since it was established 65 years ago. The aerobatics team will no doubt steal the show. Not only is the team flying on refitted J-10 fighters, but the team includes the country's first women pilots for fighter jets! And if that doesn't wow the public, new home-made planes certainly will.
Topping that list is the massive "Xian Y-20 transport aircraft," which can conduct long-distance transportation missions under complicated weather conditions. Another new model on display is the KJ-2000, used to monitor the air and sea, and to track and identify targets. The air show wouldn't be complete without a little competition -- and aerobatics teams from other countries will also be present.
