PLA carries out thorough check over financial work

With the approval of Xi Jinping, Chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC) of the Communist Party of China (CPC), the General Office of the CMC issued the Implementation Plan for Thorough Check over Financial Work of the PLA a few days ago, planning to spend one year in thoroughly checking the use and management of revenues and expenditures of various funds of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) in 2013 and 2014 and to put more effort into rectifying and punishing any financial and economic violations of rules and disciplines.

This thorough check over the financial work of the PLA will mainly deal with such problems as fraudulent application and claim of funds, misappropriation of funds, false invoice, expenditure transfer, and "private coffer" by thoroughly checking the fund flow, disbursement vouchers, internal reception sites and management of extra budgetary funds, according to sources.
