8. China Navy passed through the Strait of Magellan for the first time

A naval taskforce of the Chinese navy consisting of the guided missile destroyer "Lanzhou", the guided missile frigate "Liuzhou" and the comprehensive supply ship "Poyang Lake" paid visits to three South American countries, namely, Chile, Brazil and Argentina, from September 3 to December 11, 2013.
