Su Guiying, 90, eats sweet potato porridge in her home in Ruichang, East China’s Jiangxi province, Feb. 11, 2015. Su married three times, gave birth to 17 sons and daughters who all died before reaching three years old, and adopted three children in her life. She has lived alone for over 40 years after her third husband died and the adopted children went back to their birth parents. She lives on the governmental subsidy of 100 yuan ($16) per month and supplies like cooking oil and rice from the village during festivals.
