A senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) has urged establishing a scientific and transparent judicial auction system in a bid to promote social justice and fairness.
Zhou Yongkang, secretary of the Committee of Political and Legislative Affairs of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks Wednesday in a written instruction to a meeting on the judicial auction reform.
"The judicial auction reform is of significant importance for deepening the reform of the judicial system as well as strengthening the supervision and restriction of judicial rights," said Zhou, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee.
According to Zhou's instruction, some local people's courts introduced a third party trading platform and adopted online transaction and bidding auctions for recovered assets in recent years, which has helped increase judicial credibility and protect people's rights.
Zhou called upon other local people's courts to learn from these examples and ensure a scientific, open and transparent judicial auction system by reform and innovation.
