A senior Chinese official on Friday called for better organization construction for the discipline and supervision agencies in the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and central government to strengthen anti-corruption efforts.
He Guoqiang, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Central Committee Political Bureau, made the remark at a meeting held by the CPC's Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) in Beijing.
He said organs of the CPC Central Committee and the central government play an important role in the central authorities' operation and their anti-corruption efforts impact on the Party and government's public image.
Anti-corruption agencies still face challenges in areas such as manpower and the working mechanism, said He who is also head of the CCDI.
He said that discipline and supervision agencies in those organs should improve their political loyalty and professional capability.
