Protesters took to the streets in more than 10 cities in China on Aug 19 to show their anger on the Japanese right-wingers' landing on China's Diaoyu Islands.
Most of the protests are legally organized. But some extremists come out smashing Japanese-brand cars parking on street sides.
Their foolish behavior breaks Chinese laws and should be blamed and punished. The Japanese right-wingers are probably happy to see that the protests finally evolve into riots by their actions.
The cars damaged by the extreme protesters is the personal property of Chinese citizens and protected by laws.
It is totally wrong to let off ones' own feelings by destroying others' property. Real patriotism should be rational and can be translated into concrete actions that make our own nation stronger and united. This is what makes our opponents fear most.
