China will work with all parties of the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) to ensure that the two regions can have more fruitful cooperation, Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei said Friday.
ASEM is an important platform for countries in the two regions to boost understanding, common ground and cooperation, Hong said at a regular news briefing.
The ninth ASEM, planned for Nov. 5-6 in Vientiane, Laos, will focus on how to enhance cooperation in various areas between Asia and Europe, facilitate economic recovery and tackle common challenges, Hong said.
