Senegalese President Macky Sall honored Li Xiaolin, president of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, to express satisfaction with development of bilateral ties and cooperation, state television reported on Thursday.
President Sall honored Li with the Commander of the Order of Merit here on Wednesday on the sidelines of an Afrocities summit opened in the Senegalese capital Dakar on Monday.
The television said Li was honored for "her actions to reinforce Sino-Senegalese friendship and cooperation."
On the occasion, Li said China will "work hand in hand with Senegal" to make both peoples "more happier."
