Xi calls to speed up readjustment of economic structure

The General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, Xi Jinping, has said it is a task admiting no delay for China to speed up its strategic readjustment of economic structure.

Xi Jinping made the remark at a meeting held with government officials and entrepreneurs in south China's Guangdong province on Sunday. Xi Jinping discussed the economic situation at home and abroad, as well as how to promote economic growth.

He called for bold exploration and innovation, to help restructure the economy and transform China's mode of economic development. This is Xi Jinping's first inspection trip since he was appointed as new head of the Chinese Communist Party.
