Droopy rubber duck perks up (1/7)

Combined photos, respectively taken on September 6 (L) and September 8, show Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman's giant rubber duck at the Beijing Garden Expo Park. The rubber duck was found to have a drooping beak and wrinkled skin, making it look like a chicken, after it made its Beijing debut on September 6. There were some flaws when inflating the duck, according to Zeng Hui, deputy manager of the Beijing Design Week Organizing Committee Office, which is in charge of the duck's copyright import. A maintenance team deflated the bird overnight and spent eight hours re-assembling its beak, made of more than 30 pieces of rubber. [Photo: CNS / Li Huisi]
