'Goddesses of wealth wanted'(5/7)

To celebrate the upcoming Spring Festival, Hongjiang ancient merchant town in central China's Hunan province is recruiting five women to personate goddesses of wealth in Lunar New Year's parade. During this year's Spring Festival, the ancient town will host ten cultural and folk events. Hongjiang ancient merchant town boasts more than 380 intact ancient structures erected during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The buildings endured the ages with some wear, but they remain vivid reminders of the luxurious lifestyle of wealthy merchants. [Photo/Liu Ping]
