Ruyi, inscribed by Qing Dynasty official Heshen, exhibited in Shenyang (2/3)

A Ruyi, inscribed by an official of the Qing Dynasty Heshen (1746 –1799), is exhibited at Shenyang Imperial Palace Museum in northeast China's Liaoning province on Jan. 21, 2014. A total of 28 Ruyis from Qing Dynasty are displayed at the exhibition. Ruyi is an S-shaped ornamental object, usually made of jade as a symbol of good luck. Heshen, favoured by the Qianlong Emperor, is one of the most corrupt officials in Chinese history. [Photo: China News Service / Yu Haiyang]
