A 6.1-magnitude earthquake hit Yingjiang County at 9:20 am Beijing Time (0120 GMT) Friday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center. The epicenter was in Yingjiang County, the Dai-Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture of Dehong. It was measured at 25 degrees north latitude and 97.8 degrees east longitude, at a depth of 12 km, according to the center. Twenty-nine people were injured, including five in serious condition.
