Number of Tibetan kiangs increases in Qiangtang Nature Reserve (6/9)

Photo taken on June 27, 2014 shows kiangs in Qiangtang Nature Reserve, southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region. The number of Tibetan kiangs in the area has increased to 80,000 from 50,000 when the Qiangtang Nature Reserve was established in 1993. With an average altitude of more than 5,000 meters, the Qiangtang Nature Reserve has an area of 298,000 square kms. It is a habitat for wild animals such as Tibetan antelopes, donkeys, yaks and snow leopards. (Xinhua/Purbu Zhaxi)
