The 3D printed boat, developed by the Sanya Industrial Innovation Design Center, successfully completed its water trials on July 13, 2014.The 2-meter-long boat, which weighs 35 kilograms and is made of nylon resin material, can accommodate two adults. The boat was printed by a FDM 3D printer. Project leader Chen Minqiao said that it is the largest 3D printer in China, able to print objects that are 6 meters long, 4 meters wide and 2 meters tall.
