Year of 2014 marks 60th anniv. of opening of Qinghai-Tibet highway(1/6)

Photo taken on Sept 19, 2014 shows Li Xiaoming (1st L) and his friends posing for photos at the Kunlun Pass of the Qinghai-Tibet highway, northwest China's Qinghai province. Li, a businessman from Beijing, visited Tibet in 2012 and came back many times since then. He wished to drive along the 318 national way from start to end next year. The year of 2014 marks the 60th anniversary of the opening of the Qinghai-Tibet highway. The highway, linking Xining, capital city of Qinghai province, and Lhasa, capital of the Tibet Autonomous Region, is a lifeline for Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
