A man, who works as a laborer in South China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region has got into the habit of making his journey by foot when he returns to his home village, hundreds of kilometers away every year. What is special about this annual journey is that 39-year-old Liu Lingchao carries his own self-made tent throughout the journey, reported chinanews.com on Sunday.
He supports himself by collecting and selling discarded plastic bottles throughout his journey.
His mobile home or "shell" is made from bamboo, a few torn sheets and waterproof cloth.
Liu Lingchao refused anyone's help, even a bottle of water or a cigarette and also declined to take lifts from other vehicles along the way, local media reported. He also took a bucket and some kitchenware along with his 'house' to meet his basic needs.
